The Health Educators are constantly seeking new and innovated ways to provide services to Madison County.  Please feel free to contact as if you have any questions.


Allows the health department to encourage child passenger safety for low income families.  For more information please contact the health department at 740.852.3065 ext 225.

Collaboration with the Ohio Department of Health and their Buckeye Buckles Program the health department is able to provide free car seats to county residents who are either participants in the Madison County W.I.C. (Women, Infant and Children) program or those that meet W.I.C. income guidelines.

Eligibility for receiving a free car seat is based on two factors. The first factor being income eligibility, while the second factor requires each individual to participate in a one on one educational presentation.

Any Madison County resident with concerns of proper car seat installation can contact the health department at 740.852.3065 ext 225.


Collaboration with the Clark County Combined Health District gives the Madison County Health Department the means to provide free radon test kits and radon education to all county residents.  Any county resident is eligible for a free radon test kit.   For more information contact the health department at 740.852.3065 ext 225.

The U.S. Surgeon General’s report on oral health highlights the problem of oral disease as a silent epidemic in America among poor children, the elderly and members of racial and ethnic minority groups.  The Ohio Department of Health identified access to dental care as the number one unmet health care need in Ohio.  The Madison County Oral Health Referral Program promotes the improvement of oral health among the county residents and assists those uninsured or under-insured with dental need.  Programming includes assistance with dental referrals, appointment management and qualified financial assistance.
