The township is governed by a three-member board of trustees, who are elected in November of odd-numbered years to a four-year term beginning on the following January 1. Two are elected in the year after the presidential election and one is elected in the year before it. There is also an elected township clerk, who serves a four-year term beginning on April 1 of the year after the election, which is held in November of the year before the presidential election. Vacancies in the clerkship or on the board of trustees are filled by the remaining trustees.

The 2009 Annual Financial Report of Pike Township, Madison County,  has been completed.  The report is available for inspection at the office of the fiscal officer at 2285 Rosedale Road, Irwin, OH 43029.

DUE TO THE OPEN POSITION OF TRUSTEE, THE PIKE TOWNSHIP TRUSTEES ARE ACCEPTING RESUMES PRIOR TO DECEMBER 31, 2009.

A PUBLIC HEARING TO ADOPT THE APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2010 WILL BE HELD AT THE DECEMBER MEETING ON DECEMBER 9, 2009 AT THE PIKE TOWNSHIP BUILDING AT 7:30 P.M.  INTERESTED CITIZENS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND.

DUE TO THE HOLIDAYS, THERE WILL BE ONLY ONE TOWNSHIP MEETING IN DECEMBER.  THIS MEETING IS SCHEDULED FOR DECEMBER 9, 2009.
