Healthy Child and Family Consortium

The Healthy Child and Family Consortium was formed to strengthen the well-being of families in a respectful and compassionate manner by providing preventative services, education and health resources to expectant parents and young children in Madison County.

This task force was formed in 2015 as a result of the Community Health Assessment data collected indicating a need to improve the health and safety of children and families throughout Madison County in the following areas; Infant Mortality/ Morbidity Prevention, Early Childhood Wellness and Community Resources. The consortium meets monthly to engage in discussion, development and implementation of meaning activities related to county shared priority need areas.

We are always looking for new community organizations to partner with! Let us know if you'd like to attend a monthly meeting.

Group Initiatives

  • Community Baby Shower: education, resources, and essential items for women who may not otherwise have a baby shower
  • Kindergarten 'K'amp: a chance for children entering kindergarten next year to practice what a day at school is like! 
  • Safe Sleep: Alone, Back, Crib
  • Parenting classes and resources
