The Madison County Veterans Service Commission is a county funded agency dedicated to helping veterans, active duty military members and their dependents. There are several services our agency provides: financial assistance, prepping and filing of claims with VA, daily door to door transportation to and from VA medical appointments and, if eligible, help with indigent burials. Our office also provides 'war time era', to include 'peacetime', grave flag holders to family members of deceased veterans. There is an employment message board within the office that provides information for job openings in the local area and some outside our area. Ohio Job and Family Services have a Veterans Representative that is trained in helping our veterans obtain employment. Please contact our office for more information.


The County Veterans Service Officer (CVSO) and their staff advise and assist veterans with obtaining military records and the like .

Our office meetings are held every 1st (first) and 3rd (third) Monday of the month @ 3:15pm. We are closed ALL federal and national holidays. Meetings will be held the next business day if a holiday should fall on a meeting day. Public participation is welcome if scheduled prior to our day of the meeting.

The Veterans Service Commission is legislated by the State of Ohio and governed by the Ohio Revised Code, Title 5901, and is not funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
